Air Côte d’Ivoire announced on Tuesday the inauguration on May 14 of a direct connection between Casablanca and Abidjan.

The announcement was made during a ceremony in Casablanca in the presence of Moroccan and Ivorian officials. The new connection is part of consolidating cooperation relations between Morocco and Ivory Coast and is in response to growing demand.

“This is a moment that inaugurates a new era in cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire,” underlined the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdeljalil, in a speech read on his behalf by the Secretary General of the ministry.

More than 140,000 passengers in 2023 flew between Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire, he said.

Likewise, the Ivorian Minister of Transport, Amadou Koné affirmed that this new connection illustrates the excellence of the cooperation between the companies Royal Air Maroc and Air Côte d’Ivoire, indicating that this responds to strong demand.
